My name is Ira Rott. I’m a Canadian fiber artist, pattern designer, and author with a lifelong love of yarn, fabric, and creativity.

I grew up surrounded by needlecraft, learning from my parents and grandparents. So, working with yarn has always felt like home. What started as a childhood hobby gradually turned into a passion, and eventually, a full-time creative business. 

Today, I design crochet, knitting, and quilting patterns that are both fun to make and easy to follow. My work is often inspired by animals, nature, and a sense of playful creativity... because I believe handmade pieces should bring joy, not just to the maker, but to everyone who sees and uses them. 

My goal is simple: to help you create something you’re proud of.

I aim to make the process enjoyable, approachable, and rewarding. You’ll find that my patterns include clear instructions, helpful visuals, and thoughtful details to guide you every step of the way.

Meet Our Small Crew

We are a small Canadian family business, run by Ira and Maurice since 2012.

Ira is behind the creative side: designing new patterns, writing instructions for patterns and books, creating diagrams, taking photos, and supporting everything related to design and making.

Maurice manages the numbers: bookkeeping, taxes, payroll, analytics, advertising, and all things business.

Together, we also take part in craft shows and book-signing events, where we share our handmade work and connect with the crafting community.
