Meet Snuggles the Cactus, my newest soft and squishy friend. Unlike real cacti, Snuggles has no prickles... just cozy, huggable goodness. He’s cheerful, cuddly, and absolutely the only cactus you’ll ever want to snuggle with.
Designing Snuggles
I created this pattern using Bernat Blanket Brights in the color Go‑Go Green (a name that feels like it was made for a cactus). If you’ve worked with this yarn before, you already know how incredibly soft and plush it is. Including his little bucket, the full‑size Snuggles stands proudly at 32″ tall, making him a fun statement piece for any room.

Want a Smaller Snuggles? Here’s How to Make Him
If you’d prefer a mini version, it’s very easy to scale the pattern down. Simply switch to a thinner yarn and a smaller hook... and the pattern itself stays the same.
For Snuggles Junior, I used:
• Paintbox Simply Aran (just over 1 skein)
• 4.5 mm (G) Tulip hook
This adorable little cactus turned out to be about 11″ tall, pot included. He’s quick to make, budget‑friendly, and perfect for gifting or decorating small spaces.

A Perfect Little Home
I couldn’t believe my luck when I found the cutest Loops & Threads yarn bowl at Michael’s... it’s exactly the right size for Snuggles Junior. He fits inside perfectly, and when he’s not sitting in his bowl, he loves to “help” by keeping me company while I crochet. Even our sweet dog Buddy has made friends with him… and honestly, it’s hard not to.
