No prob-llama if you feel like a lama glama, this hat will surely make you smile!! In addition, I designed a llamazing boho bag…which is great for carrying your projects, so you can start crocheting at any point.
Did you know that alpacas and llamas have 2 wild cousins in their lamoid family – vicuña and guanaco? They all are a little different, and that’s beautiful…as we can always share similarities and celebrate differences.
The shoulder strap on this bag is very elegant and practical. It’s stabilized with an additional center-pull cord and can be adjusted in length using buttons. The lining can be finished on a simple sewing machine or by hand, it will protect small items from falling out of the bag through the stitches and will prevent your bag from stretching (instructions are included in the pattern). Check out this beautiful lined bag by Melinda Dickie (a talented crafter behind Mel’s Handmade Crochet 4U).
You can finish your llama hat as a beanie or add earflaps and side blankets with stripes, using neutral colors or even brights.
There is no drama when it comes to choosing yarn for your llama, as it will look llamazing in any color. These cheerfull hats below are made by our testing team member Katie Bailey…aren’t they llamazing?!
The Llamazing Llama Hat comes in 6 sizes for crias, machos, and hembras…so your entire herd’s ears will perk up. The Llamazing Project Bag measures 11″ X 8 1⁄2″ (28 X 21.5 cm) when finished, or 11″ X 12 1⁄2″ (28 X 32 cm) including tassels. I hope you will enjoy making them!
